Accessibility Statement
How we made the WeeFit website usable for people with disabilities, what we are still working on, and how to tell us about a problem.
Last updated:
In short
- We want everyone to use the WeeFit website with ease, including people with disabilities.
- We have worked to bring the site in line with Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.0 at level AA, and we design to WCAG 2.1.
- Every page has an “Accessibility” button for larger text, high contrast, grayscale, highlighted links, readable spacing, stopping animations and a reading guide.
- If anything is hard to use, write to info@weefit.app and we will fix it.
Our commitment
WeeFit believes training and health are for everyone, and that a digital product should be too. We treat accessibility as part of the site’s quality, not as something added afterwards.
This statement follows the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law (1998), the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations (2013), and Israeli Standard IS 5568.
What this statement covers
It covers the weefit.app marketing website in Arabic and English: the home page, the coaches, trainees and gyms pages, pricing, about, contact and the legal pages.
The WeeFit app itself (the coach’s and trainee’s workspace after signing in) is a separate product that we are still adapting. We will update this statement when it covers the app.
What we have done
- Clear structure: one main heading per page, a logical heading order, distinct header, main and footer regions, and a “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
- Correct language and direction: every page declares its language, and Arabic reads right to left.
- Keyboard: every link, button, menu and form can be reached and used with the keyboard, with a visible focus outline. Esc closes menus and panels.
- Forms: every field has a visible label, and error messages appear next to the field they refer to.
- Text alternatives: images that carry meaning have a text description, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Contrast and colour: text contrast meets level AA, and colour is never the only way information is shown.
- Motion: the site respects the operating system’s “reduce motion” setting. Videos are short, silent, and play only while on screen.
- Zoom: pages can be zoomed to 200% without losing content, and the layout adapts to phones, tablets and computers.
The accessibility widget
In the bottom corner of every page, a round button opens a settings panel with:
- Text size: normal, large or larger.
- High contrast: turns faint text and divider lines dark and clear.
- Grayscale: shows the site without colour.
- Highlight links: underlines every link and outlines buttons.
- Readable spacing: adds space between lines and words.
- Stop animations: stops motion and videos on the page.
- Reading guide: a band that follows the pointer while the rest of the page is dimmed.
- Reset: puts everything back.
Your choices are saved in your browser only and are never sent to us.
How we tested
We tested the site’s pages with automated tools (including Google Lighthouse, where the pages tested scored 100 for accessibility) and checked keyboard navigation, zoom, and phone and desktop layouts by hand.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts may not be fully accessible yet. What we know about:
- The 3D body model on the home page is a visual, interactive element. The information it shows is also written in the text beside it.
- The short videos show app screens and have no sound or speech, so they need no captions. What they show is described in the surrounding text.
- App screenshots are illustrations; what matters in them is written in the text of the same section.
If you find a page or element that does not work as it should, please let us know.
